The only thing these cars are good for are the drag strip. So why not just buy an old Pontiac and make it go as fast for half the price?

Meh, Get one and I'll see you there. :wink:

A stage boost controller would make the car streetable. So why would'nt it be trackable too? You can run a viper on almost no boost through the first few gears and If theres enough road you can unleash the beast.

They aren't necessarily trailer queens, but I do agree that super high HP numbers are as pointless as top speed numbers in real life.

At least with twin turbo setups you can combine them with variable boost controllers to constantly put down as much power as traction will allow.

And that's useful on the street and circuit race tracks as well. Whereas dedicated drag cars have no other useful purpose beyond that one ability.
